Michael Mitchell has been working in real estate financing for over 36 years and Broker/Owner of Mitchell Mortgage for over 30 years. He does his best to make his clients home loan or refinance experience as stress free as possible. He has the advantage of being an “independent mortgage broker”. This means that he is not tied to a specific bank, so is free to find his clients the lowest rate for which they will qualify for their home loan.
Most mortgage brokers today are actually running an office of agents for a specific mortgage lender. They are encouraged to use their sponsoring lender over others, usually due to a commission structure, and they are ordinarily limited to a specific list of lenders allowed to be used as alternates to the sponsoring lender. Also, your home loan will most likely be handled by a processor, not the broker himself. This is not the case at Mitchell Mortgage. Michael Mitchell handles “ALL” aspects of your home loan himself. The only other person you will ever speak with at his office is Carol Mitchell, his wife and partner, who handles the marketing.
